We had a great weekend with our favorite moms! Saturday morning, Jeff got up and took Mel to Frankfort to hang out with Grandma W, who was in town visiting, while he hit the golf course on a beautiful day. In the meantime, I slept in, went swimming at the gym, and got a mani/pedi before going bridesmaid dress shopping for Jenny's wedding!
Saturday night was a great Mothers Day celebration dinner with my parents, Jeff's parents, Randy, Cory, Charlie, Cory's parents and grandparents!
We stayed the night in Frankfort Saturday night, and then spent a lazy, rainy Sunday at my parents' before a nice dinner with my parents and Julie. Jeff and Randy took their mom to breakfast for Mothers Day, and I went to breakfast with my parents and Julie.
All in all, it was a great "first" mothers day. I have been so blessed the last two months with so many people taking such good care of us, I didn't really feel I needed a "day off" today - or a day to celebrate me. But I enjoyed celebrating my mommyhood by looking at Melanie's smiles all weekend!! Happy Mothers Day!!
