So far at the Worzala house, we have managed to stay relatively flu-free in the middle of all of this H1N1 madness. Melanie came home from daycare early on Thursday, 10/15, because she was vomiting. That lasted through the night, but by the time she got up on Friday, she could keep liquids down. Gigi came and stayed with her on Friday just to get her to the weekend, but after that she was A-OK.

Then Saturday came. Overnight Friday, I was in Mel's room rocking her back to sleep, and the bug came quickly onto me. That lasted until Saturday afternoon, and I was pretty much a waste the whole day. Jeff went to Urgent Care on Saturday to talk about his sore throat he'd had for a full week. While at the doctor's office, the bug came swiftly upon him, and his lasted through the day on Saturday as well. So, while Melanie felt 100%, her parents were worthless, and she was bored out of her mind. Poor girl. The upside was that she got to watch a LOT of Elmo that day!

Sunday dawned a new day, and before church we already had the bedding & other laundry started, the bathrooms cleaned, and the house disinfected. We've all been feeling pretty well since. The bug we had - which was less than 24 hours for all of us - did not come accompanied by a fever or any other symptoms, so that was the good news! The bad news is that it is a LOT more difficult to be sick when a) you have a toddler, or b) you're pregnant, or c) BOTH!

Hope everyone else is staying healthy!!!
