Updates

It's been a while since I've posted; we've been keeping busy as the summer winds down!  Two weekends ago, we spent some time with my relatives.  My Uncle Ron and cousin Randy entered the Boone County "Cancer Cook off" to honor my Aunt Gaylynn, who was wrapping up her first week of chemotherapy treatments.  They came in second overall!  The event was a good reason to get several family members up here from Texas; it was great to see Aunt Rose, Brad, and Randy (and the rest of the Indiana clan!) that night and the next day for some swimming at Ron & Gaylynn's!

The following weekend was also a family weekend - Jeff's Uncle Rick & Aunt Sandy came down to meet Joey!  We had a great time with them, and Joey loved meeting his Great-Uncle and Great-Aunt!   We went to Ben & Laura Haeberle's house Sunday night for dinner & swimming. 

Melanie is coming up with the silliest things.  She has a great memory, and is very loving.  We were leaving the house the other night, and Jeff said "Bye-bye, Mel!"  She replied "Bye-bye Silly Goose!"

Note:  Joey's forehead bandaid was placed there by Mel; it was not actually needed :)  He did have bandaids on both of his legs from his shots, but our baby did not have a banged-up head.
